Pam Hyatt

Director

Pam lives in Asheboro with her husband, Jeremy, their daughter, Katherine, and two dogs Mickey and Mini. She has a bachelor of science in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University and is Nationally Board certified. Pam taught in the North Carolina school system for 6 years before taking the job as Director at The Dream Center. She loves art and anything about the outdoors including hiking, swimming, kayaking and walking her dogs.


Emily Soto

Lead STEM Teacher

Emily Soto is from Asheboro, North Carolina. She is married to Josh Soto and has two daughters, Julianna and Olivia. Emily graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught third grade for four years before coming to The Dream Center. Emily loves inspiring and encouraging the students to follow their dreams and to be the best they can be. In her free time, Emily enjoys shopping, photography, cooking.


Whitney Bateman

Kindergarten Teacher

Whitney Bateman is from Robbins NC. She went to SCC and studied early childhood education. She has four years of experience with children, and working in a church and non-church setting. She loves to spend time with family and friends, do antiquing and volunteering for the community and the church.


Kathy Davis

1st Grade Teacher

Kathy Davis was born in the state of Rhode Island. She is married and has 2 children who live with their spouses in NC. She received her Elementary degree from Rhode Island College. She has been a part time teacher, substitute, and tutor. She loves to see kids enjoy learning and loves to encourage them to do their best. In her free time I love to read books about the Amish and enjoy going to Ohio, with her friend, to spend time with the Amish.


Nicole Lee

2nd Grade Teacher

Nicole Lee is from Asheboro North Carolina. She just recently was married in January to Cameron Lee. She has an Associate in Arts degree from Randolph Community College. She enjoys drinking coffee, kayaking, and baking cupcakes.


Jeanne Lab

3rd Grade Teacher

Jeanne Lamb is thrilled to be teaching at the Dream Center! She graduated from High Point College in 1978. After teaching school for 30 plus years, she retired in 2008. Since then she has continued to work with children! She enjoys quilting, working jigsaw puzzles, walking , reading, and spending time with her family; most especially her grandson, Carson! Most importantly, she is a child of the ONE TRUE KING!


Cameron Lee

4th Grade Teacher

Cameron Lee is from Richmond, VA and currently lives with his wife Nicole in Asheboro. He has a BA in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has spent two summers working with children at Camp Piankatank. He enjoys watching sports, especially the Atlanta Braves and Richmond Spiders. His favorite thing about the Dream Center is seeing students grow in all aspects of life.


Melissa Smith

Cook

I am originally from Tennessee, but I have lived in NC for 17 years. I have about 20 years of combined experience working with kids. I am the proud mom of a teenage daughter. I have a B.S. in Education with a Speech & Hearing concentration from the University of Tennessee. This is my 10th year as an Instructional Assistant at the Early Childhood Development Center for Asheboro City Schools. This is my 4th year as the Head Chef for The Dream Center. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching TV, going to movies, and cooking. My all time favorite thing to do is watching my daughter dance.
